Meet the Black Sun Syndicate

While sifting through our files from Courtsilius, we found some encrypted correspondence between the Coil-affiliated Toco-Po Toy Co and the Black Sun Syndicate. It appears that Toco-Po was paying the Syndicate protection money.

The choice

What the operation puts to you, and how each answer turned out. Where a choice has two outcomes, it is one that can go wrong.

AIntimidate. Accuse them of working with the Coil.

The Syndicate representative sneered: "The Black Sun Syndicate doesn't work with anyone. We're in the protection business. Keep wasting our time, and you're the one who'll need protecting." Seems like a dead end.

BPry. Ask them what they know about the Coil.

The Syndicate representative shrugged: "What Coil? We've got a lot of clients. We're in the protection business, and lately, business is good." Seems like a dead end.

CBefriend. Ask them about their protection program and try to develop a relationship.

The Syndicate representative smiled: "Our standard business protection plan starts at 30,000 credits. Let us know if you're interested in our services." Our team demurred, but everyone left the meeting on good terms. It's a start.

The choice

Neesh has arranged a meeting with a representative from the Black Sun Syndicate. We doubt the Syndicate is directly involved with the Coil, but they may know something. How should we approach this?
