Ring of Kafrene
Appearing as an enormous bridge between two planetoids, the Ring of Kafreene is a city-like space colony featuring towering buildings, cramped alleyways, and vibrant markets. The colony was originally intended to mine and process precious metals from the asteroid belt surrounding it; those metals were only ever found in trace amounts, and thus many of the mining and refinement facilities have been repurposed for a variety of business ventures.

The galaxy map builds its planets in a shader rather than shipping a picture of each one. This marble uses Ring of Kafrene's own surface material: its land and sea gradients, its temperature, its sea level and its tint colours. The continents are generated, because the game generates those too.
The Ring of Kafrene is not a planet. It is a mining colony and trading post strung through an asteroid belt, cramped, Imperial-watched, and busy in the way places are when nobody is asking questions.
