Bothawui

A ringed gas giant in the Both system, this planet's asteroid belt was the site of large battle between Republic and Separatist starships early on in the war. Following its victory, the Republic has maintained a defensive presence in the region.

The galaxy map builds its planets in a shader rather than shipping a picture of each one. This marble uses Bothawui's own surface material: its land and sea gradients, its temperature, its sea level and its tint colours. The continents are generated, because the game generates those too.

Bothawui is a gas giant ringed by an asteroid field, in the autonomous Bothan Space of the Mid Rim. Its strategic position has always mattered more than the planet itself.
