The world of Derra IV is covered in expansive swamps and muddy lakes. The larger settlements of the planet are built on elevated platforms above the marshes, while fishing villages gather on the rare sections of dry land found amidst the murk.

The galaxy map builds its planets in a shader rather than shipping a picture of each one. This marble uses Derra IV's own surface material: its land and sea gradients, its temperature, its sea level and its tint colours. The continents are generated, because the game generates those too.
