The galaxy map builds its planets in a shader rather than shipping a picture of each one. This marble uses Oba Diah's own surface material: its land and sea gradients, its temperature, its sea level and its tint colours. The continents are generated, because the game generates those too.
Oba Diah is obsidian crag and the Pyke homeworld, sitting at the far end of the Kessel Run. The Pyke Syndicate runs the spice trade out of a fortress here, which makes a bleak planet one of the more important stops in the business.
