Quarzite's surface is uninhabitable due to extreme atmospheric pressure. Beneath its surface, the planet's population lives within expansive networks of caverns filled with gargantuan crystalline structures.

The galaxy map builds its planets in a shader rather than shipping a picture of each one. This marble uses Quarzite's own surface material: its land and sea gradients, its temperature, its sea level and its tint colours. The continents are generated, because the game generates those too.

The Belugan and the Kage have been fighting each other down in those caverns for a long time. Getting between the sub-levels means taking the rail, and the pressure above means nobody is walking out.
