The mostly rocky surface of Carida is comprised of mountains, crags, and tundra. While innately inhospitable, many human villages can be found nestled into the mountains' peaks.

The galaxy map builds its planets in a shader rather than shipping a picture of each one. This marble uses Carida's own surface material: its land and sea gradients, its temperature, its sea level and its tint colours. The continents are generated, because the game generates those too.

Carida trained soldiers. The Republic's army used its mountains and the Empire kept the academy running, which made a planet with no other distinction into one every officer had heard of.
