Taris
According to legend, the once thriving city-planet of Taris was devastated during an ancient war between the Jedi and Sith. At present the planet's lower levels are polluted marshes strewn with derelict buildings and husks of starships, while the upper regions feature luxurious tower blocks reserved for the elite.

The galaxy map builds its planets in a shader rather than shipping a picture of each one. This marble uses Taris's own surface material: its land and sea gradients, its temperature, its sea level and its tint colours. The continents are generated, because the game generates those too.
Taris was a city planet that stopped being maintained. Wrecked starships and overgrown swamp cover much of the surface now, and people live in tenements stacked out of shipping containers and hulls under a permanent yellow smog.
