Halas Fang, aide to Senator Ask Aak of Malastare, hired Zero Company to deal with some Coruscanti gangsters who were trying to extort him. That was months ago, and he hasn't paid us yet, despite multiple reminders. At this point, we usually send some operators with "people skills" to collect. But Halas claims he just needs a little more time to come up with the credits.
The choice
What the operation puts to you, and how each answer turned out. Where a choice has two outcomes, it is one that can go wrong.
ASend a team to collect. We're owed what we're owed.
We sent some tough operators to show Halas we mean business. They didn't have to rough him up too badly before he handed over the credits, grumbling that we're just as bad as the gangsters he hired us to deal with.
BGive him more time. Halas' word is good. He'll pay us when he can.
We decided to give Halas Fang some more time to come up with our money. He was grateful for our patience, but gratitude doesn't pay the rent.
CLet him pay another way. A Senator's aide must have something valuable to trade.
A relieved Halas was happy to offer us some classified intel, in exchange for forgiveness of his debt.
