Refueling
It's that time again: we need to send the Caisson out to pick up fuel for the Den. In this new Empire, hypermatter is hard to come by. But luckily, we have two leads: Runa's expensive, reputable source, an ex-exec from the former Techno Union; and Neesh's shady, cheap source, a wizened Underworld procurer. What should we do?
The choice
What the operation puts to you, what each answer pays, and how it turned out. An option with two outcomes is one that can go wrong.
This one is a dilemma, so the roster has opinions about it. Everyone who backs the option you pick gains bond with Hawks and with each other, everyone who opposes it loses bond with Hawks, and a backer and an opposer lose bond between themselves. The six written operators react by name; anyone you recruit or create reacts by their dilemma archetype.
ABuy from Runa's source. Let's do this the right way.
We sent some operators to buy hypermatter from Runa's source. They likely gouged us, but we got our fuel: a few precious shards of refined coaxium.
BSteal from Runa's source. An ex-Techno Union exec won't miss a bit of hyperfuel.
We sent some operators to liberate the hypermatter from the ex-Techno Union exec's vault. It was a difficult heist, but we got what we came for: a few precious shards of refined coaxium.
CBuy from Neesh's source. We love a bargain.
We sent some operators to buy hypermatter from Neesh's source, an eccentric old hustler who offered to throw in a couple packs of death sticks on the house. The fuel quality isn't amazing, but hey, you get what you pay for.
DSearch for another source. There must be a better way.
We used our intel network to find another hypermatter source: an abandoned Separatist refinery, mostly destroyed by Republic airstrikes during the Clone Wars. There wasn't much left in the ruins, but our ground team came away with all we needed: a few precious shards of refined coaxium.
